WHAT TO EXPECT – YOUR TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi
- Depart early from Kampala for your 3-day Gorilla Trekking adventure in Uganda.
- Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, situated in the Western Region of Uganda.
- Expect a full day’s drive through breathtaking natural landscapes to reach the ancient rainforests of Bwindi.
- Skirt the north-eastern shores of Lake Victoria and ascend into the mountainous south-western region.
- Admire terraced fields and traditional settlements along the hillsides.
- Arrive at our picturesque lodge on the forest’s edge by late afternoon, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking:
- Commence your gorilla trek early in the morning.
- Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, venture into the tangled, mist-shrouded forests.
- These experts know how to locate the gorillas by following the nests they used the previous night.
- Trek through thick, untamed rainforest, scrambling over mossy rocks and navigating deep undergrowth.
- Although physically demanding at times, the effort becomes more than worthwhile when you come face to face with these majestic animals.
- Watching gorillas in their natural habitat is an unforgettable experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.
- After spending an awe-inspiring hour with the gorillas, return to the base camp for a late lunch and a relaxing afternoon.
Day 3: Bwindi to Kampala Stop
On the third day, depart from Bwindi early in the morning and begin your journey back to Kampala. Along the way, stop for lunch. Expect to arrive back in the city during the early evening, after a quick yet exhilarating visit to the mountain gorillas.
Duration: Approximately 4 hours

- This tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers.
- Each traveler is allowed one suitcase and one carry-on bag. If you have oversized or excessive luggage (such as surfboards, golf clubs, or bikes), please inform us in advance to confirm if your excess luggage is acceptable.
- The tour is not wheelchair accessible.
- Travelers with back problems, heart issues, or other serious medical conditions are advised against participating.
- Participants should have a strong level of physical fitness.
- For an additional fee, a domestic flight to Bwindi can be arranged, subject to availability.
